As a student who uses her iPad daily, I feel it is important to have a screen protector that keeps your device safe, but also delivers a positive writing experience. Paperlike is almost a $40 screen protector for the iPad. It claims to give you a “paper feel” when writing on it, and that it is made for people use primarily write and draw. I have been wanting to try the popular Paperlike screen protector for awhile, and when I won a giveaway, I thought it would be a great opportunity to help others decide if this pricey screen protector is worth the money.
Pros:
To begin on a high note, this protector changes the entire writing experience. I have used many matte screen protectors before, and none of them are as smooth as Paperlike. When I first wrote on it with my Apple Pencil, I was astonished on how quiet and smooth it was. Unlike other matte protectors, it does not have as much of a gritty feel. This is an important factor because you do not want it to eat your Apple Pencil tip up. Second, the anti-glare is amazing! When sitting in the sun, there is almost no reflection. If you enjoy working outside, this protector does the job.
Cons:
I could not think of many cons to write about. The most noticable downside is the cost. For a pack of two screen protectors, the cost is almost $40. This makes each protector $20 each, which is still pricey. If you are a serious notetaker or artist who uses the Apple Pencil daily, I would recommend this screen protector. If you only use the pencil once in a while, stick with Amazon protectors.
